Faces & Places: April 2025

Chesapeake Utilities Corp. opened its second Safety Town training facility on Feb. 27 in DeBary, Florida. The facility provides the company’s Florida operations teams with hands-on and classroom training, also enabling collaboration with first responders and other community partners. Members of the company, Florida Public Utilities and the city government attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Ken Taylor, one of the 2025 LP Gas Hall of Fame inductees, spent his career training and mentoring others. Taylor believes safety and education are paramount to the industry’s success.

The Southeast Propane Alliance Technical Education Center and central North Carolina’s Payne Oil Co. partnered to provide equipment and installation services for the Alamance County Veterans Association at Bass Mountain, North Carolina. The future retreat site is designed to offer veterans and their families a peaceful outdoor sanctuary for rest and relaxation.

Mike DelConte, vice president of sales for F.W. Webb, shows off his medal at the 2025 Tokyo Marathon in March. It marked his ninth marathon; he’s completed all seven world majors and races in Rhode Island and Vermont.

Mike Walters, the vice president of safety and fleet at Superior Energy Systems, displays his status as an LP Gas Hall of Fame inductee with his custom license plate. Walters was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2024.
