Scott Petroleum Corp. grows propane irrigation leasing program

Based in central Mississippi, Scott Petroleum Corp. provides propane solutions for several industries.
Agriculture is one of its primary focuses, as the fuel distributor has created an all-inclusive, turn-key propane irrigation leasing program to efficiently meet farmers’ unique needs.
Through this full-service solution, farmers will receive an engine and a propane tank, along with maintenance and consistent, reliable fuel deliveries throughout their entire growing seasons.
“By handling every detail, Scott Petroleum ensures farmers can focus fully on their operations, guaranteeing a seamless, efficient and dependable energy solution for agricultural irrigation,” says Ryan Brewer, COO.
Since implementing the program in 2014, the propane distributor has recorded a steady, significant rise in business. Eleven years ago, it had approximately 800 irrigation engines. Now, as it celebrates its 90th year in business, the engine fleet features roughly 3,000 units.
Due to its increase in capacity, Scott Petroleum has been able to deliver additional propane gallons more efficiently during the summer months – without having to invest in any further resources.
“This strategic growth highlights Scott Petroleum’s ability to scale operations, while also maintaining high service standards and resource efficiency,” Brewer adds.
Serving three states (Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi), Scott Petroleum has a wide array of customers, in addition to the agricultural industry, including commercial businesses, construction and industrial operations, residential and retail consumers, and transportation and fleet operators. Its energy solutions are quite diverse and include agricultural biodiesel, fleet management and cardlock systems, fuel, lubricants and oils. It also has convenience stores that provide fuel and everyday products to customers.
“Because of our service offerings’ diversity and flexibility, Scott Petroleum is a key partner for industries that require reliable and efficient energy solutions,” Brewer emphasizes.
Its offerings’ diversity and flexibility have increased over the years, too. Though once a small, regional operation, the distributor has evolved into a comprehensive energy solutions provider.
Brewer believes Scott Petroleum’s consistent increase in customers and services is a result of three primary goals: a commitment to safety, a customer-centric approach and a dedication to technological innovation and integration.
In particular, it emphasizes safety, thereby ensuring the well-being of its communities, customers and employees. At the same time, it has built strong relationships with customers over the last nine decades, while also adapting its services to meet ever-changing energy demands and industry standards.
“Of equal importance, Scott Petroleum has adopted modern technologies, such as cardlock and fleet solutions, to enhance efficiency and offer advanced fuel management services,” Brewer says.
Looking ahead, the company will stay focused on its key ingredients for success.
“As we aim to strengthen our presence in existing markets, Scott Petroleum will continue to build stronger relationships with customers, enhance our product and service offerings and embrace innovative technologies,” Brewer states.
